What is Your Travel Personality?

Suitcases and bag packed ready to go.

By the amount of out of office replies we’ve seen this week, we’re guessing you’re probably sipping a piña colada on the beach somewhere. We must have missed the invite…

We thought it’d be fun to spotlight Vacation Trip Personalities whether you’re on a Spring Break now or jetting off in the near future.

Everyone experiences vacations in wildly different ways. Some people are ready to climb mountains, cruise the seas, enjoy the all-inclusive life and some even find Disney magical (we felt some of you cringe reading this, thinking that is not your type of magical vacation).

We are certified Personality Dimensions™ trainers. If you’re not sure what the heck we’re talking about, you can check out what we do and how you can unlock your team’s personalities in a really fun way.

Here’s the quick run down – there are four personality temperaments and we all are a blend of these four. And not to mention, introversion and extroversion play a key factor but that’s a blog for another day! These personality temperaments influence the trips we book and how we show up on vacation.

So, the big question is, which vacationing personality are you?

Our Inquiring Greens are happy diving into their books or heading to the local town to learn about the culture and history. Our Greens may dabble in some research before heading on their next vacation and definitely confirm there is Wifi accessible where they’re headed.

Our Resourceful Oranges are off white-water rafting, sky diving, hopping on an ATV or willingly signing up for parasailing. Our Oranges are likely the ones packing the night before and probably rushing for the gate to board because they got easily distracted in the airport. They will take things as they come and live in the here and now to enjoy every moment.

Our Organized Golds are the ones who won’t let you forget anything, they have a checklist of items to pack, they know the flight schedule to a T and may get a little stressed out if things don’t go as planned. Skilled at trip planning is an understatement.

Our Authentic Blues are just happy to be on vacation with everyone. They are taking part in the activities, yoga and group walks in the morning, anything to be in nature. They want to make sure that the vacation is perfect for everyone else, so they don’t let anyone down. They’re the ones who will go out of their way to make it a memorable, special vacation.

We incorporate fun activities like this in our Personality Dimensions™ workshops to get people thinking and discussing each other’s perspectives and really understanding what motivates others and what makes them tick.

If you’re interested in learning more about these workshops, check out our available modules here.
